JBL's Auracast explained!

All JBL speakers we offer to rent have Auracast. But what is Auracast? That's a question I'm sure plenty of people have asked while reading the speakers' descriptions! So, I've made this blog to explain it in greater depth.

Auracast essentially broadcasts sound from one JBL speaker to an unlimited number of others (even from a speaker to headphones or the other way around). Whatever audio you play from your connected phone, tablet, or laptop will go to the first Auracast-enabled device, and then stream to all of the others at once. This means you can create a unified, synchronised sound.

It's powered by Bluetooth LE, a version of Bluetooth that keeps energy consumption of speakers low, meaning Auracast has a wider reach and doesn't drain the speakers' battery life.

So, how do you start an Auracast stream? Simply switch the JBL speaker into Auracast mode using the triangle button on the casing. Do the same with any other speakers you have hired, and you're good to go!

We hope Auracast helps enhance your party!
